Muskegon Heritage Association Museum

The Association houses its own museum which tells the story of Muskegon’s industrial past and Muskegon’s history. The museum collection includes information on the history of Muskegon, including pictures of sawmills, maps, and portraits of Muskegon mayors. Objects inlude pianos made in Muskegon. The industrial collection is the largest part of our collection. A Corliss steam engine, four printing presses from 1900 to 1945, foot-peddled woodworking machinery, forge and ironworker's tools, book making equipment, horizontal and vertical drills highlight our collection, which also includes log marks and logger's tools from the Lumber Era.

The museum is open from the first Saturday in May until the last Saturday before Christmas. Hours are noon to 3:00 p.m. Special openings can be arranged by calling Su Bell at 231-733-1057.
